FAQ
What do you do?
We are a professional pooper-scooper
service. We do not pet sit, dog walk or provide any other
dog-related services or sell dog-related products. We know what we
do, and we do it well. Simply put, we remove dog feces from our
customers' properties day in and day out, and we use various methods
and techniques at our disposal to accomplish the mission. Employing
a systematic approach, we search all areas in need of service on
each visit thereby greatly diminishing the chance of missing any dog
waste that may be present.
What do you do with the waste after it is collected?
For our standard service customers, the waste is
double-bagged and deposited in their trash receptacles. For an
additional nominal fee, we also offer a deluxe service in which the
waste is taken with us after we service your property.
Is there a contract I need to sign?
No! Your service can be stopped any time with
just a simple phone call to us at least 24 hours prior to your next
scheduled service.
How much do you charge for your service?
Please see our rates page for our price lists of
services offered.
Can my dog or dogs be left in the yard during service?
In most cases yes. We love dogs; however, if you
know your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent that
your dog will not allow us to clean the yard; we will ask you to
either restrain or confine your pet. We do not take any unnecessary
risks with your dog or our employees.
Do I have to be there when my yard is serviced?
No! That’s what we’re here for. You have better
things to do with your spare time! We do like to come out and
introduce ourselves to you and your dog, become aware of your specific
needs, and become acquainted with your property in conjunction with
the first visit. We will schedule a quick appointment with you at a mutually
convenient time.
Is there an extra charge for the first service?
An initial clean up fee may be associated with
our first service visit to your property if it has not been cleaned
recently and you just need our help catching up. The initial clean up
fee, if any, will be fully disclosed and approved by you at our
initial appointment.
How am I billed for your services?
The
initial clean up fee, if applicable, is payable at the time of
service. All regularly scheduled weekly service visits are billed
on the last day of each month for our services rendered for that
particular month. Payment is due upon receipt. Accounts not paid in
full by the 15th of the following month will have their service
temporarily stopped until all past due amounts have been paid in
full. A $10.00 late fee will be charged to your account in this
instance if you have not made prior payment arrangements with us. A
$20.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. All accounts
aged over 90 days past due will be turned over to our collection
agency, and a $75.00 fee will be assessed in this instance.
Should I unlock my gate when service is scheduled?
Yes. As our employees are not permitted to climb
or jump over fences, please have your gate unlocked on your service
day. If you prefer not to leave your gate unlocked, please let us know
the combination or provide us with a spare key.
What if I want to skip a service day or days?
Please just notify us at least 24 hours in
advance, and we will reschedule your service date at a mutually
convenient time. Please note that if you do not reschedule your
service within the same week, when your service resumes, you will be
charged according to the amount of accumulation since our last
service. Also, if you do not give us 24 hours advanced notice, we
are locked out of your property, or your dog does not allow us entry
on your scheduled service date, you will also be charged for the
service call that could not be completed.
What about holidays?
We do not work on the following days:
New Years Day
Easter Sunday
Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Is it possible to get one-time or short-term service for a friend
or me?
Sure! One-time or short-term service may easily
be arranged. Planning a party or other function and need some help
getting the yard presentable? Landlords: Has your tenant moved out
leaving the yard full of “land mines?” Want to give someone that
perfect gift? Call in the POOP TROOP!
Does inclement weather affect service?
We will
usually work in light rain or snowfall. However, very hard rain or
snowfall may make it impossible to properly do our job. We will
attempt to make up this missed service during the same week, but we
may not be able to service your property until the next scheduled
cleaning. Of course, you will not be charged for any service date
missed due to inclement weather.
What do you do to prevent the spread of disease from yard to yard?
All of our tools and shoes are disinfected after
servicing EACH yard.
What if I refer someone for service?
Our
customer loyalty and referrals mean everything to us. If you are a
regularly serviced customer and refer someone who employs our
services, you will receive one free service.
Please make sure that the person you are referring gives us your
name when contacting us. Tell a friend!
